Alan loves Allison: A Texas Wedding

We're dressed and all ready to witness the marriage of my wonderful nephew, Alan, and his beautiful ( and also wonderful) Allison.  Perfect day in Aledo, Texas. Just outside of Fort Worth.

 

Mark, Mallory, and Laura were ready as well.

 Both mothers .......beautiful dresses - check...... . hair styled- check.... , pearls straight- check..... corsages  pinned- check.  Hankies ready? First child's wedding for each and they did great. Smiles all around.

Apparently, the groomsmen were not smiling enough.

So the bridesmaids helped them.

What I Saw Today.................

Early this morning I enjoyed breakfast with family and new friends in Fort Worth...........

then headed to Oklahoma City for lunch ............

 

 ................ then on to Paris for dinner. Arkansas that is! This is my first view of the Ozarks and a second  or third crossing of the Arkansas River.

....we saw a sign for the Mount Magazine State Park Lodge.  Well, of course, we love state parks so we drove by to see if they had a room ..........

A young women who was married just yesterday took this picture for us! And I took  pictures of the newly weds with her very nice camera. She's a photographer! She takes a lot of wedding photos.

 Yep! We are pretty happy with our find today. We decided to stay two nights. So they gave us a discount!
 Now that it is dark, the valley is covered  with twinkling lights. Beautiful!

The boys had been waiting expectantly with clappers ready. Then B wanted us to sing, " Happy Marriage to you." So we did.
