Feeding Time Down the Lane

 Last week while the family down the lane was having some fun in the sun ......

 


 ...........I checked on the animals....... Fed them and gave them a little lovin' .
 

 Gave the kitties a little lovin' anyway. The new little ducks would not have anything to do with me.


 


The little ducks ran in the opposite direction when I went down to feed them. The big ducks only came up one day.
 

 But it was the perfect day. It was the day I had a helper.

 

Hannan was here and helped with the feeding and the lovin'.




 The kittens always run to help feed the water animals.

 

And they run fast. And Hannan ran fast.

 

 Feeding the fish. The big ducks actually came up to eat the fish food.

  But something did eat all of the duck food every day.

 The bowls were always empty when I arrived for the twice a day feeding.

 But the kitties were so happy to see me ( and us)  every time.

 You're welcome, kitties.

Casserole- Castle....... either way, it's all the same sand!

 Brooks LOVES to play in the sand as well as the water.
 

 He builds roads for his cars and drives the cows around on the tractor but he also likes to  "cook".

 
He often "makes" cinnamon rolls...............

 but sometimes he says it is a casserole.

 

Which is so odd since Leslie and I so seldom make or talk about casseroles.

But then we realized he actually meant sand castles. So, casseroles or castles, either way it is all sand to Brooksie!

Memories of a Cool Walk

On this hot, hot July day, I want to remember our hike up Signal Point to Highpoint .

It was so cool on the mountain that I had on the only long sleeves that I had with me.

But it did get a little warm as we hiked up the path.

The week following our visit was the annual butterfly festival....... And we did see this one butterfly. I hope they were on their way!

Then down again. Nice little hike and nice to remember the cool air ............


 


............. and the strong winds whipping over this summer view.

 Wedding Stuff!

 Working on invitations early in the process. It takes all hands and all computers.
 





 

 But only Laurie does the actual printing.


 

No breaks for us! Even if the electricity goes out. We are like the Post Office....... rain or shine..... must get it done!

 stamps and sealing! PTL!!!

 

Also, wedding band shopping,...........................

Now for a tux. Maybe a nice red, white, and blue cummerbund for this Canadian/ American raised in Mexico!
Sorry, no pics of dress fitting, meeting with caterer, or cake tasting. Yum for the cake and menu!

After our day at "The Park" we were tired.  Plus, the weather was overcast with thunder storms on the forecast.

So the "big" boys and I headed off to the movies. $41 later we had been entertained and filled with junk!

 

Brooksie was happy with the left overs and happy to be at Juju's house with the boys.

 


 

 We just made it inside before the storm began. Brooksie "cooks" a lot a cinnamon rolls on that porch.

Hard rain. Almost 2 inches in 30 minutes. Thankful for that back porch!

A Summer Afternoon at "The Park"

A fun afternoon at "The Park" begins with a ride down on the golf cart.

then a rush to the pool.

 

Swimming .....................

and splashing ............

and playing under the hose..........

until you are worn out .......................

and need a little snack!

Playing with the water hose ..................

and "cooking"

is always a hit with this one.
