Summertime.....................
and IT IS HOT! and dry at Still Waters. When Bennett and I walked down to the pond to throw rocks and sticks into it today the water line was about two feet out from where it was the week before last. So it was muddy along the shore line. But the rocks and sticks from our last few throwing sessions were where we could reach them and throw them out again.
So............... when it is hot you just need to cool off..............
running through the sprinkler.......................
and drinking some cool water.
HAPPY SUMMERTIME !

Happy Father's Day
When Laurie asked each member of our family to participate in "Twenty-five random things" about our self, I included one about my father. Whenever I see an older man wearing a plaid shirt it reminds me of my own father and reminds me of how much I miss him. He was a great father and I am thinking about him and missing him today. I am forever grateful for him.
And we have celebrated Father's Day all weekend.
Jay and Lela cooked a fantastic meal for us Saturday night................
and Hannan entertained us.
Laurie cooked Jimmy a wonderful breakfast of French toast.
Leslie, Jason, and Laurie cooked a great lunch..............
and Bennett enjoyed his first chicken leg....................
............................REALLY enjoyed......................
...............and ate to the bone..............
.............................and he also had his first ear of corn on the cob......................
Jimmy made ice cream in the afternoon and Bennett..........
decided Father's Day may be as wonderful as birthdays.
a little muffin to help with brain freeze........................
" This ice cream is delicious!"
Great weekend.....................just HOT, HOT, HOT !!!

Summertime.................
A perfect summer afternoon would feature ice cream from the peach shed in Barney............
.......................which could be blue berry........................
............................and you may end up wearing a few bites....................
...........but that would be okay because you can could wash your shirt under the sprinkler............
...........or under the hose.............
....................... and if you were thirsty you could drink from the hose.......................
......................... with your aunt.
Summertime and the livin' is easy...............................................

Laurie's Graduation Weekend
Laurie's graduation weekend in Johnson City was very busy and of course a very exciting time for all of us.
Jessica and Allen surprised Laurie by traveling this great distance from Moultrie to JC (and leaving baby Jackson) to celebrate with her.
Laurie, Mary Todd, and Erin hosted a barbecue picnic for.....................
.........................................................family........................
....................friends and classmates ( following class).............
VA supervisors.................
.................................ETSU professors...............
..... at this wonderful park where there was plenty of equipment for playing.
Bennett played so hard he only had time to eat a little ice before going on to the next thing.
After the picnic we all ( except Jason and Bennett) went to the hooding ceremony where we could not get clear pictures. But after the hooding the girls stood in front of this nice oil painting and had their picture made with most everyone attending....... with their friends Amber and Carrie. Amber told " VA tales" on each of the graduates during the program.
...........with most of the 3rd ( now 4th) years............
.......................with ETSU professors...................
........................family and friends.
Breakfast in Jonesborough.
Back to the park for Bennett.
Then to graduation................................
Erin is walking off the stage...........Laurie is being congratulated by the lady in red.............MT is center stage.
Hugging and huddling with Dr. Chase.
More pics with family and friends......................
....................................One more meal at my fav..............Cootie Brown's.
After graduating the entire class ...............................................
.............hopped on a plane...............................................
.............................and spent a week here! All three of them.
