Shredding

Bennett joined me in my Thirty Day Shred. Notice he's a little behind Jillian. I think he liked the dreaded mountain climbers. Ohhhhh............More shredding to follow.

Just a Laid Back Kind Of Day

Our Fourth celebration was nice and very relaxed.

An evening of traditional grilled burgers and all the fixin's
with Jay, Lela, and Hannan.

See how laid back it was. Just kick your feet up and relax.

Lela's brother Jason, his sweet wife Lindsey, and cute
little Grayson celebrated with us. Good food, good times, great day.
Hope yours was too.
Jason, sorry the big one got away. Twice!

Happy Fourth!

My sister and I traveled twelve hours to visit our aunt and cousins and had a wonderful visit. I am still processing all that I saw and heard. But, one place we visited I want you to see now .

It was so beautiful and peaceful ..............................

with interesting lines

and patterns.

This is Uncle Larry's burial site at the National Cemetery. Notice the straight line from each plot to the flag. It is a beautiful place. A great tribute to those who served our country.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY! Hope it is a great day for all.

Summertime.....................

and IT IS HOT! and dry at Still Waters. When Bennett and I walked down to the pond to throw rocks and sticks into it today the water line was about two feet out from where it was the week before last. So it was muddy along the shore line. But the rocks and sticks from our last few throwing sessions were where we could reach them and throw them out again.

So............... when it is hot you just need to cool off..............

running through the sprinkler.......................

and drinking some cool water.

HAPPY SUMMERTIME !

Happy Father's Day

When Laurie asked each member of our family to participate in "Twenty-five random things" about our self, I included one about my father. Whenever I see an older man wearing a plaid shirt it reminds me of my own father and reminds me of how much I miss him. He was a great father and I am thinking about him and missing him today. I am forever grateful for him.

And we have celebrated Father's Day all weekend.

Jay and Lela cooked a fantastic meal for us Saturday night................

and Hannan entertained us.

Laurie cooked Jimmy a wonderful breakfast of French toast.

Leslie, Jason, and Laurie cooked a great lunch..............

and Bennett enjoyed his first chicken leg....................

............................REALLY enjoyed......................

...............and ate to the bone..............

.............................and he also had his first ear of corn on the cob......................

Jimmy made ice cream in the afternoon and Bennett..........

decided Father's Day may be as wonderful as birthdays.

a little muffin to help with brain freeze........................

" This ice cream is delicious!"

Great weekend.....................just HOT, HOT, HOT !!!

Summertime.................

A perfect summer afternoon would feature ice cream from the peach shed in Barney............

.......................which could be blue berry........................

............................and you may end up wearing a few bites....................

...........but that would be okay because you can could wash your shirt under the sprinkler............

...........or under the hose.............

....................... and if you were thirsty you could drink from the hose.......................

......................... with your aunt.

Summertime and the livin' is easy...............................................
