Thankful Thursday

Thankful for these two cuties .......

and the opportunity to spend some time with them this week.

Eli is two months old and  rewards you with big smiles now.

He really likes to keep his eyes on his big brother but  "talks" to everyone.

These are pics  that Lela took .

She is a much better photographer that I.

I did manage to get a few shots of Hannan and Jimmy golfing.

Hannan was so excited to have Jimpa playing along.

As they were walking out the door..................................

Hannan said ..............

"Jimpa, You're a pretty man."
Pretty Man  and Han-man!

Monday Morning with Brooksie

Brooksie thought it could not get any better than a "tractor"

unless it's "tractor" and "cracker".

We picked up Bennett after "school" for Monday with both.

He's such a four year old now. Playing by himself while Brooks took his nap.

Then a little reading time.

Of course it was very little. This sweet scene only lasted a few minutes. But what a sweet few minutes! Then we were outside and on the MOVE for the rest of the afternoon.

Happy Mother's Day ...........

 ............ to me!

Laurie started off  my Mother's Day with a wonderful breakfast.

Stuffed french toast, bacon, and freshly squeezed  juice.

Creamy strawberry filling and crunchy almond outside. YUM!!!!

Leslie and Jason cooked favorites for lunch for us. Ham, brown rice, green beans, layered salad, and too many other sides. It was so good I forgot to take a picture. AND strawberry trifle.

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers! Hope everyone has a tasty and relaxing day .

Cabbage Season

It's cabbage season in Colquitt County .............

and the cabbages are falling for all to pick up .................

............. off the side of the road.............

where they fall from the trucks leaving the fields.

It can be dangerous.  People slam on brakes to stop for a head of cabbage in the road regardless of traffic.

Last week, Leslie and I were on a county road and a lady stopped in the road in front of us, jumped out of her car, and ran around to the front of her car to pick up a head of cabbage.

I saw a head on the side of my road   today and decided that I must stop for it. I decided to eat part of it even though I don't care for cabbage. Fresh cabbage. It's hard to resist.

Thankful Thursday .........

Thankful that we were able to have lunch with ........

T
Alan last week. I told Alan to keep smiling and I would try to catch both boys looking.

 So Bennett got on board.

And tried to smile until I could capture Brooks.

But, sometimes it is hard to keep smiling ................

 Yum!

 Love you Alan!
